Supporters

The major supporters of the scheme in Reading are Prudential, Thames Water, Quick Circuits, HSBC, ING Direct, Xansa, Oracle, Sage, Marks & Spencer, Thimble and Shorland, Broad Street Mall, Rotary Club of Loddon Vale and Information Flow.

Why do we need supporters?
A great deal of work is done by volunteers for Young Enterprise, and a national education program can not be undertaken without costs.  Indeed, the current estimate for the cost of the Company Program is over £1,000 per YE company.  This service can only be provided, free at the point of service with the support of donations and business volunteers.

What do you get out of it?
PR
As a Young Enterprise financial supporter, your company name and logo will be acknowledged in key communications such as Press releases, Presentations and Programmes for events.  The donation given for Overall YE Reading Area supporter will be used to cover the costs of running the area final such as the hire of the Town Hall, along with helping to support the YE organisation across Berkshire.

Many of the Reading Area Young Enterprise events attract the attention of local press, and the Area Finals this year were attended by the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress, Alistair Cox (Xansa CEO), the President of Reading Chamber of Commerce, local Educators, Rotarians, Councillors, members of Business Link, and members of the Prince’s Trust.

Social Responsibility
The Young Enterprise experience is something that participating students will remember for the rest of their lives.  Your donations will help us to give budding entrepreneurs the chance to experience business first hand, and to encourage them to start businesses of their own in the future.  If your company has a social conscience and is keen to contribute to the local area, then Young Enterprise is an ideal route to do this.
